OPEN POSITIONS

Sanitation Worker

Reporting to the Food Safety Manager, the Sanitation Worker’s position is primarily responsible to sanitize/clean the facility and production equipment according to the company’s procedures and within established time standards. ln addition this position has a basic understanding of the equipment and equipment’s function along with chemical application awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns. Must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines as they refer to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required for this position.
  • Follow GMP guideline and follow safety practices, including but not limited to chemical handling, proper lifting techniques, proper PPE.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company.
  • Ability to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and high pressure and low-pressure water hoses.
  • Perform machine breakdown for cleaning purposes; disassemble and reassemble production equipment; Lift parts to tear down / set up equipment or to properly store.
  • Climb ladders / steps to clean overhead areas.
  • Manually clean equipment with cleaning chemicals by using a green pad; rinse, foam, scrub and sanitize production equipment; clean in place equipment (CIP) ensuring that all areas meet standard requirements.
  • Complete sanitation daily documentation (checklists) accurately.
  • Must have the ability to spot/locate any deficiencies during pre-op inspections.
  • Must be willing and able to work with hazardous chemicals on a nightly basis. (Caustics/Acids)
  • Work individually or in a teamwork environment.
  • Willing to perform different tasks per the supervisor’s instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.
  • Communicate with Supervisor and/or Team Leader regarding any sanitation concerns observed throughout shift.
  • Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing and/or food production experience
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production
  • Knowledge of chemicals used in food plant cleaning and sanitation, in addition to practices and procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be willing to work in an environment with extreme temperatures ranging from 37F to 110F.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation), alongside prioritizing and organizing workload
  • Basic math skills

Third Shift Delivery Driver

The Revolution Farms delivery driver is responsible for transporting cases of lettuce from our facility to the Spartan Nash distribution center.Duties include loading/unloading goods, using navigation tools to arrive at the right address, and delivering our product to the Spartan Nash DC at the scheduled dock time.

Requirements:

  • Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck
  • Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries
  • Meeting delivery deadlines
  • Performing basic truck maintenance
  • Loading and unloading cargo
  • Tracking shipments and deliveries
  • Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed
  • Comfortable driving in varying weather conditions

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is not required)
  • Ability to work from 11 p.m.-2 a.m.
  • Can work a pallet jack

Packaging Operator

The packaging operator is responsible for properly packaging produce to match customer PO’s.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly loads and packages products on the machines as assigned
  • Inspects produce for defects, contaminants and foreign materials during the load and packaging process and reports defects
  • Meets or exceeds production efficiency standards on a regular basis
  • Rotates loading positions as required
  • Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized
  • Responsible for following Packing Cooler and Optimus Prime cleaning schedules
  • Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all food safety policies
  • Wears food safety required attire
  • Inspects shipping vehicles for cleanliness
  • Inspects packaging upon delivery for defects, contaminants and foreign materials and puts raw materials directly into designated area in Packing Cooler and reports defects and contaminants
  • Inspects packaging before use for defects, contaminants and foreign materials and reports defects and contaminants
  • Complies with Revolution Farms’ standard to keep all material in the Packing Cooler 6 inches from the edge of the wall, all items off the ground, and establish lanes between products
  • Keeps inventory of products, cartons, clamshells, bins, and skids
  • High-speed repetitive tasks and cycles including machine operations, hand packing, palletization, and shipping
  • Must understand the mix ratio and desired product packaging using basic math skills
  • Wear food safety required attire
  • Participates in team meetings and production training
  • Is a positive contributor to all team goals
  • Most of these processes take place in climatized rooms ranging in temperature of 36-38 degrees
  • Arranges packaging in lanes to comply with Revolution Farms’ First In, First Out procedures
